LEMON TREK SHROOMS

Lemon tek is the practice of soaking your psilocybin mushrooms in lemon or lime juice before consuming them, essentially cooking them as the citric acid begins to break down the mushroom material.

It’s unclear how lemon tekking works on a chemical level (we’ll get to that later), but psilonauts who have tried it agree that the technique concentrates your trip, making it shorter and stronger than chewing on dried fungi.

As a result, this is a more advanced technique that I would not recommend to first-time trip. However, if you’ve previously used magic mushrooms and are looking for a way to make a small amount go further, reduce nausea and body load, and shorten and fundamentally change the experience, lemon tekking may be interesting to explore.

How to Lemon Tek

To begin with, lemon and lime juice work best because they have the proper pH range. Other fruits, such as pineapples and oranges, do not work as well as lemons because their pH ranges between 3.2 and 4.3, making them less acidic.

That said, all a user needs in order to do the process correctly are the following:

  • The mushrooms
  • Approximately 1-2 lemons or limes per dose of mushrooms
  • A grinder
  • A cheesecloth
  • A glass

Keep in mind that the lemon tek process can produce a stronger psychedelic effect. As a result, users should start with half their usual dose. Consume a traditional sample of mushrooms first to determine their strength. Then, if the effects aren’t too strong, use it for lemon tekking on another occasion.

Lemon Tek Duration

When consumed normally, a magic mushroom typically takes 30-90 minutes to take effect. The peak of the psychedelic experience may occur three hours after ingestion.

The mushroom lemon tek method accelerates the effects. They can occur in 10-45 minutes, with the peak effects occurring within a few hours. In both cases, the effects are accelerated when mushrooms are consumed on an empty stomach.
